About us

Myself and John became involved within in the German spitz mittels upon acquiring Logan (umshumbwe faccia die angelo mit zephon) and Ruby (umshumbwe ruby's black onyx mit zephon) in September 2004 to who were brother and sister. They became part of the family instantly fitting in with our two older Jack Russell’s.

Ruby and Logan were brought purely as pets at this point, as I had not had any involvement with dog showing and what I did know either came from Gail or occasionally watching Crufts.

As Logan was brought for my daughter Jemma she became interested in training logan so after talking with Gail Looker we went along to a dog handling class. The club was situated nearby and offered an introduction into the show world offering an insight into this delightful hobby. After Learning about handling and the show ring juxtaposed with an increase in confidence a good friend of mine who breed Ruby and Logan, Gail Looker (umshumbwe), said "It was about time to start showing".

Not taking the event very seriously I attended my first show at welsh kennel with Logan and my daughter Jemma who was showing him. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and was pleasantly surprised by Logan winning his puppy class and also qualifying for Crufts.

Showings allowed us to bond with our dogs and enter into a fulfilling hobby this with the shear friendliness and welcoming people in the German Spitz inevitably gave us the buzz for dog showing. After which I decided to give the dog handling a go for myself which then led to my husband John becoming interested in showing.

John began practising with Ruby who then became his little girl! He now shows the dogs while I stand on the side lines and organize him!

After making some delightful friends and feeling truly welcome I decided to have my third German spitz who we named Ty (caolita nemesis). He was breed by Pam O'loughlin (Caoilta) who after meeting us entrusted her little boy to us.

By this time i had done the show circuit for over a year and was enjoying my new hobby immensely. After attending more shows we decided to buy a Motor home        ( To Jeff and Irene clayton studholme known as our dingle van), so staying over at shows became normality, with the mud at Bath and the sunshine of Windsor all in all it was a great summer and the dog's loved it too!

I then gained my affix Zephon which is a name of an Angel.

Then came the next arrival to the Zephon gang Amber (Wyndlee iced cream mit zephon). This baby came from the famous kennels of Wyndlee (Pat and Nigel Beard). From day one she made her self at home by being naughty but nice (this really does sum her up!). She sleeps were she wants, makes people do things she wants and the other dogs follow. With the added bonus that she loves everyone and I’m sure they all love her too.

Last year I had my first beautiful litter from ruby when she was mated with Ghost (CH Wydlee Ghost in my house) to which I had 4 puppies: 1 girl and 3 boys all black accept the one boy who is cream. Starla (zephon seengli Serafina), Eddie (zephon Nebula Rubiestar), AJ(Zephon Rubyjet Obsidian),  Joseph (zephon spookz the Tempest) was homed to mr and mrs prince who have started showing for the first time.I have high hopes for them and Joseph.

later in the year i had a litter form amber who was mated to artie (Atreus in wyndlee) to which, i had 3 puppies one black girl (gaia zephon black resonant star who lives now with nanny pat and nigel beard wyndlee kennel) orange sable girl (Maya zephon crystal warrior) and black and white parti boy (zephon planetary wizzard aka wizz who lives with his pet owners)

Well that’s all for now

Love Amanda and John xx
